Peter Feigl’s Diaries

M Y D I A R Y

as of Thursday August 27 [1942]

Mr. Weissmann had mentioned it to me. It was before lunch that the director, returning from Condom, called me to her office and told me what had happened to you, my dearest! It was the Secours Suisse which wrote her that they had come for you. I thought I would go crazy. At the same time she gave me the last letter dated the 25th, together with the ration and 5 francs. I immediately wrote to the Sternefeld’s asking them to look after you, our possessions, me. I went out with the Scouts. Later, returned and went to fetch the milk. I thought about you a great deal while waiting to hear from you.

Friday 28
I went to communion and I prayed for you my loved ones.
