Peter Feigl’s Diaries

at 7 o’clock to 108 Boulevard de P., I was told I would have to leave immediately in order to catch up with some other children going to a colony La Rouviere near Marseille, while waiting to depart. We did not catch up with the others and the man who accompanied me had never been there. Instead of making us get off at La Rouviere, they made us get off before at La Rougiere. So after a one hour hike in darkness, we arrived at my colony (Les Caillols) where it was decided to keep me.

Friday 6:
Nothing. I am getting to know the children. The director, Mrs. Sarboer, is Belgian from Brussels and is very kind. The director, Mr. Bremond, also. This evening I got sick. I am running a fever of 40 degrees. The nurse, Irene, is taking care of me. But she doesn’t know what ails me. I think of you.
