Peter Feigl’s Diaries

Peter used capital letters and underlined because it’s his birthday. He turned 15.

Wednesday 1 March 1944

I couldn’t drag myself out of bed this morning. I went to class. In the morning, Iffernet wished me a happy birthday. I must admit that I was really surprised, it coming from him of all people. Then Jean-Claude gave me a book: “Is That A Crime?”. Other than that no one said anything. Faurel bugged me for some time about my insignia. The weather is beautiful and the snow has melted. That’s practically my only consolation. This evening we won’t have study hall because the windows are busted.

Thursday 2 March 1944

Well, no one wished me a happy birthday. In the afternoon we went to study hall because it’s raining.

Friday 3 March 1944

We are to get a math (algebra) test next Tuesday.

Saturday 4 March 1944

My overall average grade is 9.1 and I am on restriction. Mr. Joquevielle chewed me out.
