Tuesday 8:
I am in bed. Nothing from you. I often think of you.
Wednesday 9: –
I got up briefly. They are caring for me and spoiling me a lot. I don’t know how to thank Mrs. Cavailhon.
Thursday:10:
Nothing from you. I got a postcard from Lesa who is already in Madrid. He is lucky. I wrote you a card and another to Charles.
Friday:11-
Still nothing. I wait.
Saturday 12:
I receive a card from Ch. I have been writing you a card every other day just as you had asked. But the director tells me that she got a letter from an I. aid group saying that you were in the occupied zone and that you wanted to hear from me. I am afraid for you. I don’t mail the card. It’s useless. Tonight I cried. Who knows to where you were taken?…
Sunday 13:
Mrs. Lapper came to visit me. She says that you left (for Transi, near Paris). She is kind and says she stood by your side. She had brought me 3 morsels and the address of Siegmund. We must be brave and wait. I think of you a lot.
