NEW YEAR

1943

Friday January 1st:
Today marks the start of a new year. We celebrated at Les Caillols with a stage play. We went there and had afternoon tea. Mr. Bremond promised me that he would take me back.

Saturday 2:
Nothing.

Sunday 3:
Nothing. I am thinking of you.

Monday 4:
Mr. Br. came to La Rouviere today. I practically flooded him with tears. Then he told me to pack my things within 5 minutes because he is taking me along. I can tell you that I was happy.

Tuesday 5:

Mrs B. (they got married) wrote a letter to Mr. Trocme in which she asked him if he did not have an opening for me in his place. I had asked her to allow me to go to school. She gave this letter to a young girl, Simone Fullenbaum, who lived previously at Les Caillols and now lives at Les Grillons with Mr. Trocme.
